- Richard Williams' mother, an illustrator, had a significant impact on his creative life. For Mother's Day, here's Mr. Williams (from his book, "The Animator's Survival Kit") recalling a quote from his mother that left a lasting impression (as mothers tend to do): "My mother gave me this great advice: 'Don't try to develop a style. Ignore style. Just concentrate on the drawing and the style will just occur.'"
